Stephen Petrilli (Lighting Designer)

Stephen Petrilli has several shows for Anabella Lenzu DanceDrama.  He has also designed for Pilobolus Dance Theatre, HT Chen & Dancers, Noche Flamenca, Kun Yang Lin/Dancers, Shapiro & Smith Dance, Ailey II, Nathan Trice/Rituals and The Kevin Wynn Collection.  Musical performances Stephen has designed include Mos Def at BAM and several shows for Bang on a Can and the New York Guitar Festival. Theatre credits include work for The Pearl Theatre Company, National Asian-American Theatre Company, and The Three Rivers Shakespeare Festival in his hometown of Pittsburgh.  Stephen also spent five years touring as the Lighting/Sound Supervisor for Pilobolus.  He has a nine year old son, Liam, and they have a really great cat named Chynno.

 

Daniel Pettrow (Vocal/Acting Coach)

Daniel Pettrow is an actor and director based in New York.  He is an associate actor with The Wooster Group. He has performed in HAMLET, VIEUX CARRE, and WHO’S YOUR DADA?!.  He is a teaching artist at The Wooster Group’s Summer Institute.   Daniel is a frequent collaborator with Anabella Lenzu, having directed IN PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, PACHAMAMA, and SANGRE & ARENA.  Daniel is an associate artist with multi disciplinary theater company Bluemouth Inc.  He works closely with French director Arthur Nauzyciel, having performed the lead roles in several plays at National Theaters across Europe.  Daniel recently worked with renowned Italian director Romeo Castelluci in JULIUS CAESAR: SPARED PARTS.  Daniel performs the role of ‘The Wolf’ in Isaac Mizrahi’s production of PETER AND THE WOLF at The Guggenheim for their ‘Works and Process’ series (since 2012.)  Daniel frequently focuses on new and experimental creations while fostering collaborations with artists from different disciplines.  Most recently he assistant directed and performed in the world premiere of THE PRINCIPLES OF UNCERTAINTY at Jacob’s Pillow, The Guggenheim, and BAM.  He is the director of NY sketch group “Skinny Bitch Jesus Meeting.”  Daniel is the Communications Director and Drama Teacher for Heifetz International Music Institute, guest teacher at NYU, and guest faculty at BANFF CENTRE. Jennifer Johanos (Costume Designer)

Jennifer has designed for many independent choreographers, most recently, Barbara Mahler and Katherine Howard.  She worked with DJ McDonald as both performer and designer, with productions in many venues.  She has worked as a director on projects small and large, as an actress many companies;  and her work in theater crafts and costume construction has appeared On and Off- Broadway ,and in the productions of major opera, dance and theater companies.

 

Geoff Gersh (Composer)

New York based composer/guitarist Geoff Gersh explores the sonic boundaries of the electric guitar with and without the aide of electronic devices and found objects to produce sounds one would normally not associate with the guitar. Geoff has worked with choreographers Koosil-ja, Lawrence Goldhuber, Cynthia Oliver, Karen Graham, Anabella Lenzu, Robert La Fosse, Benoit-Swan Pouffer and has an ongoing collaboration with painter David Stoupakis. Geoff has been playing the electric zither in the Off-Broadway show BLUE MAN GROUP since 1998. He has performed internationally and has received grants from the American Music Center, Meet the Composer, SOS from NYFA, was awarded a New York Dance & Performance Award (Bessie) in 2000 and received a Swing Space grant from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council in 2009.
